Production Debugging: Fix Real Bugs in a Live-Looking App
Nayan Jaiswal · intermediate
Learn to debug the way it is done at work. Every lab drops you into a small, realistic e-commerce application (Django or FastAPI with PostgreSQL, and a React dashboard) inside a browser IDE with a real git history, a ticket from support or the on-call channel, logs, a database and a debugger. You reproduce the problem, follow the evidence to the root cause, fix it, prove the fix with a test that fails on the broken code, and write a short incident note. The Django track covers performance and query problems, data-model and money bugs, concurrency, migrations, configuration and calls to other services. The FastAPI track covers Alembic migrations, async SQLAlchemy performance, event-loop and concurrency bugs, outbound calls and error contracts, validation models, proxy configuration and authorization. The React track covers hooks and closures, async races, state and keys, render performance and leaks, and API and build configuration. The Fullstack track covers sessions, cookies and CORS, API contracts, and values that change meaning between browser and API. Each section starts with a short lesson on the debugging skill, never on the answer.
The Engineering Playbook
Nayan Jaiswal · intermediate
Software engineering concepts explained from first principles, one topic at a time, and growing over time across backend and UI. Each lesson builds intuition first, then goes deep: how it works, where it breaks, and how to explain it clearly. Starts with backend API and auth (JSON Web Tokens end to end, with working FastAPI + PyJWT code and a Hinglish version of the main lesson, switchable on the lesson page).
45-Day Interview Preparation Bootcamp
Nayan Jaiswal · intermediate
A full-stack engineer interview preparation track (3+ years experience), split into independent subjects you can study in any order or pick just the ones your own interview loop covers. Data Structures & Algorithms covers every core pattern from arrays to dynamic programming with practice tests along the way. System Design starts with the foundations (estimation, caching, sharding, CAP, messaging, consensus, resilience) and builds up to full case-study designs of real products. Low-Level Design covers OOP, SOLID, the classic design patterns, and building systems like a parking lot or an elevator from scratch. Backend goes deep on Python, Django, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis and queues, and API design. Frontend covers JavaScript and CSS fundamentals through React internals, performance, and TypeScript. Behavioral prep covers STAR stories, company research, and interview-day logistics. Every subject ends with mock interview rounds and a rubric to grade yourself against.
